It really has been a while since I’ve sent out any sort of bookish updates to my readers and community. It was, for lack of better words, a season of busy. I would love to sit here and tell y’all that the season of busy was productive, but that hasn’t been completely true.
The Patriot’s Curse Released
Last Tuesday, I finally released The Patriot’s Curse. It has had such a good reception so far despite my lack of marketing for this release. I just kind of dropped the book and said “here ya go”. It was less stressful worrying about the numbers, though.
The Patriot’s Curse is on sale now in ebook, paperback, and hardback formats. I will be updating my TikTok shop with signed copies as soon as they come in (I’m still waiting on my copies). You can also read it on Kindle Unlimited if you have a subscription.
If you read The Patriot’s Curse, I would love for you to write a review on Amazon or Goodreads (or both, if you want). Reviews help other readers find my book, and it helps show the algorithms that people are interested in the product.
What I’m Up To Now
If you’ve known me for any amount of time, you know how I can’t keep ANY of my own writing secrets. It physically hurts me not to talk about the books I’m writing or projects I’m planning. About two weeks ago, I started writing a new book, and since I don’t do well with keeping secrets, let me tell you a little about this book.
I started thinking up the plot behind this book back last year some time. (I typically start brainstorming a book long before I ever start typing it out.) I do want to make a full post about the background of this story and how it came about, so for now, I’ll just give you a brief summary.
Sitting in Sunday School one Sunday morning, the Lord pretty much slapped me with inspiration and just laid it on my heart to write this story. There has been a lot of wrestling and avoidance behind the scenes on my part, and a lot of snapping me back into reality on the Lord’s part. About two weeks ago, the Holy Spirit hit me with a wave of conviction and realization that I was not writing what the Lord told me to write, and I needed to get my act together and do it. In His loving kindness, the Lord reminded me of my original goal of this story, which is to ultimately share the gospel. My writing other things was not living in obedience.
And that brings me to the story. I’m 3,500 words into the story, and I’m in the middle of chapter two. I want to tell you everything about this story right now, but it’s not time. Instead, I’ll give you three little teasers to get excited about.

Recent Photos from my Camera Roll
I want to start sharing some photos from my daily life as part of my monthly newsletter. It is a lot of fun to share parts of my life with everyone here, and as a lover of photography, I take a lot of pictures. Enjoy a few snapshots from my recent days.
